As a floater at a daycare, I bring high energy and enthusiasm to my work engaging with children ranging from toddlers to age 5, creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment that promotes their growth and development. I ensure their well-being by closely monitoring activities, managing transitions, and addressing physical needs such as feeding and diaper changes. I also assist with meal preparation and distribution while maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic space. In addition to ensuring safety, I implement engaging sensory activities tailored to each child’s developmental stage, fostering exploration, cognitive growth, and social-emotional skills. Outdoor play is an essential part of the day, where I encourage physical activity. Following some guidelines from the Reggio Emilia approach, I emphasize child-led, exploratory learning by creating activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and self-expression in a collaborative and supportive environment. I also work to build positive relationships with children and their families, to ensure the comfort of both child and parents. I have 1 plus year in child care and am CPR certified.
