I’m Erika! I’m a freelance artist who loves to help others on her down time. I have a lot of experience caregiving for children, from newborns to elementary aged kids (up to 9 years old). I love connecting with kids and giving them the opportunity to express their creative side. I love encouraging kids to draw, build, read, act, sing and dance, but I also know when it is time to be more calm, collected and ready to do homework. I have a lot of patience, and I love finding creative solutions to sticky situations.

I am a gentle person by nature, but I can still keep up with kids that never seem to run out of energy. I love teaching children how to express themselves and keep boundaries with others. I believe early childhood is such an important time for children, and I want to be a stepping stone and a guiding hand for them. I love connecting with parents as well because this job is a partnership. Open communication is incredibly important to me, and I take constructive criticism incredibly well.
