I love being a sitter because it gives me the opportunity to connect with my childlike aspect from my past (my inner child) making me want to connect, share with children and help with their growth to make them into well behaved, adventurous and intelligent children. I work as a full time Substitute Paraprofessional at P.S. 58 – The School of Heroes for P.9Q District 75 which gives me the experience to work in a child friendly environment. I have skills in child development, age-appropriate activities, and basic needs such as helping with homework/ tutoring, play-time and sports and cooking for the child and having a clean area. Clear communication and patience are also strong skill of mine because I like for the parent and I to feel comfortable to share ideas and feedback for the child and personally while taking time to understand the child and the parent and how they like things to be under control.
