Hi there! My name is Marie and I’m fairly new to Pittsburgh. I graduated from Binghamton University in May and moved down here to work at University of Pittsburgh. I have always loved working with children and started babysitting when I was around 14. I worked at a children’s museum through high school and college as both a summer camp teacher and an afterschool preschool instructor. I most recently worked at a summer camp with adults with special needs and neurotypical elementary/middle school students. I love getting to know each child I work with and finding activities that they love to do. I am a huge science nerd so I often try to involve fun science facts/experiments when I’m working with kids. I am looking for babysitting jobs as a means to get to know those in my community and make connections while supporting my neighbors. I am also extremely comfortable with pets so I’m open to pet sitting/having animals around while babysitting.
