Write a messageHello! My name is Emma, Im 23 and Im brand new to New York. I just moved here from Bloomington, Indiana last week. I live on the Upper East Side and I have a BA in Theatre and Drama from Indiana University. Back home I was a nanny for two boys, in preschool and in 3rd grade, 4 days a week for a little over a year. I also babysit here and there on the side; I dont have a ton of experience with babies and toddlers, but Id love to get more! I’d say my nannying style is patient but energetic; I’m a theater kid so I love to play make-believe and I do a really good fake death when I get killed with a sword or a lightsaber. I havent quite shed all of my midwestern-isms yet, which means I’m not great at using the subway but I’m friendly and I get along with everyone. I also say “pop” instead of “soda,” which has proved very controversial among some of my east coast friends. I have minors in English Literature and French and am happy to help with homework. I also play several instruments (I’m a marching band geek), I can sew, I’m pretty handy, and I was a Girl Scout camp counselor for a long time so I know a lot about nature and friendship bracelets.
