I bring with me over 3.5 years of babysitting experience, primarily involving the care of a delightful 12-year-old girl who attended the Bank Street School for Children, conveniently located near Columbia on 112th St. My duties included picking her up from school, ensuring she had a snack, navigating an hour-long train ride, and safely escorting her home to Jackson Heights, Queens. I also had the pleasure of accompanying her to various appointments, birthday parties, and park outings with friends and managing her extracurricular activities, including ice skating, acting, and dance classes. Late-night homework sessions were also part of the routine, which often included assisting her 5-year-old sister.

In August of 2023, I had the joy of caring for a lively 3-year-old boy, which further enriched my childcare experience. My responsibilities extended to getting him out of bed, preparing lunches, organizing playdates at the park, and engaging in a variety of screen-free activities. I occasionally still sit for this family on early mornings, weeknights, and weekends whenever I am needed! From those playdates at the park, I met some school friends and was given the opportunity to babysit his friend, who is also 3 and his little brother, who was 8 months.

This past year, I did after-school pick-up for a sweet 11-year-old, occasionally assisting with transportation to extracurricular activities such as swimming sessions at 92ndY, recreational outings at the park, visits to local establishments, singing lessons, and school-sponsored events. Additionally, I took on responsibilities related to the family’s new puppy, including regular walks, feeding, and keeping him company.

In addition to my experience, I’m also an older sister and have been responsible for watching over my cousins throughout my life. My babysitting skills, combined with my positive attitude, passion-driven approach, and friendly demeanor, make me well-suited for this role.

I have always found babysitting so much fun, especially during my undergrad years, and all the kids I’ve worked with are so curious and love to learn, which makes the time spent exciting and worth while.

Rate: $26/hour – $30/hour
