Write a messageHi! My name is Jennie.
I grew up in a lively, five-kid household and have been a caretaker on and off since age 12. I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology from NYU. Looking predominantly for part-time work, but open to any opportunity for growth.
I have provided comprehensive care for children across various age groups in private homes, up to three in a household. My goal as a caretaker is always to promote a safe and responsive environment conducive to age-appropriate learning and development.
As a daycare counselor, I managed and supervised groups of up to ten, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. I established and maintained trust-based communication with parents, ensuring collaborative approaches to child welfare.
I have extensive experience with special needs children, including those with non-verbal ASD.
In my free time, I am a great cook/baker and am well-versed in managing dietary restrictions. I draw, sketch, and paint. I play guitar and ukulele. I write music and poetry. I read in the evenings. The city has been home for eight years now. I love discovering exciting spots and events.
I find joy in getting to know a kid for who they are. I try to connect with them with patience and empathy. It is an opportunity to experience the world through an entirely new lens.
Pets are a plus to me. My mom rescued many animals, and I’m pretty comfortable with most of them.
I’d love to talk about what support your family needs.
