I’ve always loved kids, I enjoy their company they make me laugh like no other and they teach me a lot. I started be around younger kids when I was just 12, I would go to my old elementary school and help kids do their homework and go to their after school programs. From then on I was helping a range of kids. Throughout my years i’ve worked with kids from ages to 6 months all the way to 11 years old. That was thanks to my recent job as a backup caregiver where I would watch over different kids each day and I would help them with either their homework or even improve their Spanish . I also have to thank my role as an assistant teacher on a summer camp that gave me more knowledge on how to teach kids and how to keep them from misbehaving and helped them understand one another. I was a private caregiver for 2 toddlers, they were my first family they helped me gain a lot of knowledge and helped me understand kids more. During my time with them I taught them some Spanish and I helped them understand their homework and I gave them a sense of comfort. A special skill that I posses more of a trait is that I still carry my inner child with me I will always understand what a kids needs/wants and if I don’t I try to talk to them and remind them that I am also one of them and I am a kid just like them (or atleast I like to believe that)
