I find working with children fascinating and rewarding. Children are naturally curious, imaginative and eager to learn about the world around them! Helping them explore new concepts and develop their skills is incredibly fulfilling. Their unique perspectives give me fresh insights on life and inspire my inner artist!

Before I get into my experiences in childcare, Id love to tell you more about myself. As of May 2024, I have my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from La Salle University! I am a current first year graduate student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in the School Psychology (Educational Specialist) program. In my free time I love to read, bake, and watch new shows and movies!

My first experience working with children took place in summer of 2022. I was a volunteer summer mentor for children in impoverished neighborhoods. In this position, I was able to tap into my creative skills by creating activities that followed the 4 core objectives: Reading, Problem Solving, Art/Creation, Healthy Minds and Bodies.

My second experience took place the following summer of 2023 as a behavioral health technician. In this position, I worked 1:1 with child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder; most sessions I held told place in the child’s home or at school. In this position, I was able to implement behavioral interventions under supervision of a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst and therapist.

My most recent experience occurred this past summer at Gladwyne Montessori. This past summer, I gained experience as a teaching assistant. In this position, I assisted in taking care of 15 pre-k children. I gained knowledge on the Montessori philosophies and implemented Montessori curriculums tailored each theme of the week (Australia week, Africa week, Asia week).
