For the past six summers, I’ve worked as a summer camp counselor at an overnight camp, where I work with youth ages 11 to 17. As a camp counselor who lives in the bunks with the kids, I’m responsible for making sure all their needs are met, from teeth brushing to special dietary requests, as well as meeting their emotional needs while creating a safe, caring, and playful environment. Prior to working as a camp counselor, I worked in Washington, DC as a nanny for two children, ages 7 and 9, providing homework help, preparing daily snacks, working bus stop duty, enforcing piano practice schedules and screen time limits, and planning fun outings around the city. In high school, I worked as a babysitter for ages 1 through 12 in my hometown in upstate NY. I have experience working closely with children who have diverse needs, including children with autism, ADD, ADHD, and cognitive and developmental delays; children with physical disabilities, including hearing aids and mobility devices; and children from diverse religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ children and children from LGBTQ+ households.

I am comfortable with friendly pets. I am also able to assist with light housework if needed.

Rate: $22/hour – $35/hour
