As a recent retiree and transplant, I wish to stay active and involved in their community.
I have two grown children (40 and 37) and two grandbabies in NJ-a girl who just turned 8 and a boy who will be 6 in Feb.
I raised two children of my own in CT and was always involved in their education and schools. I served as class parent for both; raised funds via auctions, and chaperoned school activities and class trips.
As a family, we had lots of pets: dogs (10), cats (5), guinea pig, rabbit – so Im quite familiar and comfy with pets. I currently have a small rescue (my first!)
My career was mainly in schools for children with learning differences. I also served as a host parent to Chinese high schoolers and am
certified in TEFL and as an advanced level tutor. Pre-pandemic I had a flourishing tutoring business.
I love kids-my grands view me more as a playmate than their grandmother. I babysit for them at least once a month in NJ. Theyre the reason I left SC-I couldnt bear to be so far away from them or my children.
I am energetic, friendly, warm, kind. Im in shape, curious, fun-loving who
knows when to be a disciplinarian. I understand the pressures that working families have -my son and his wife (Villanova grads) are both in high powered careers.
