Hello families! My name is Miranda and I am looking for a family who needs a sitter on occasional weekends or weeknight evenings. I am currently a full time pre school teacher, but looking for some supplemental work as well.
Some of my favorite activities to do with kids are: explore outdoors(park time, nature walks, and gardening!), art activities(I have an undergrad art degree and love to share my creative practices with kids under my care), and cooking!(this can be as simple as them helping set their plate for dinner, or something more involved like baking homemade cookies!)
A lot of my childcare philosophy is steered by fostering independence, self confidence, and curiosity. As a childcare worker I am there not as heavy hand to steer them in a direction, but rather to be a support system for kids as they start to garner a sense of self.
Some of my own personal interests include: painting, ceramics, cooking/baking, crocheting, and hiking/spending time outdoors.
