Hello! My name is Selma, and I am student in my third year at the University of Pennsylvania pursing a bachelors in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. I offer child, senior, pet, and home care. As the oldest sister and cousin in my family, I have always cared for, and really enjoyed being with children and elderly people in my family.

I love seeing children grow and helping boost their confidence creatively, academically, and socially. I know how important good role models and confidents are as they mature. I believe in approaching every child with respect, care, and empathy, which I find helps navigate frustration, tantrums, and hard days. Along with prior babysitting experience, I used to work at the National Constitution Center, where I created a plethora of engaging and educational games, art projects, and adventures (like scavenger hunts) for kids of all ages to take part in. I have experience working with neurotypical and neurodivergent kids.

Tooting my own horn, I am a great cook, and am happy to prepare dinner, lunch, clean, and run errands.

I am very comfortable with senior care, I have spent much time caring for my late grandmother. Beyond the basic (cooking, driving to appointments, cleaning, etc.), I keep a very engaging conversation. I have always really enjoyed listing, joking, and learning from those older and wiser than me with lived experiences beyond mine. I find as our family members get older and their ability to move is decreased bringing joy, light, and fun in attainable ways helps reduce emotional burdens on them and their family.

I am not allergic to any animals: I am happy to feed, walk, and play with any pets.
