I am currently a casual nanny for a delightful little girl named Journey. She has been a significant inspiration in my desire to pursue further nanny opportunities. I have been with Journey since she was 4 years old, and now, at 6, it’s incredible to see how time flies when you’re having fun. As her nanny, I spend quality time with her, providing care, engaging in play, enjoying storytime, and creating cherished memories together. Journey’s growth and joy have deeply enriched my passion for childcare.
In addition to my experience with Journey, I have worked as a teacher assistant at the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, specifically with 3-4-year-olds. In this role, I taught Islamic letters, introduced the children to our faith (Islam), and educated them about Allah, Ramadan, the importance of prayer, the 5 Shahadas, and the fundamental principles of being a Muslim. This experience allowed me to integrate cultural and religious education into early childhood development, fostering a holistic learning environment.
Moreover, I served as a Reading Warrior for three years, which involved assisting teachers and students across various grades from kindergarten to 5th grade. My responsibilities included helping with homework, supporting teachers in planning after-school activities, managing snack and recess times, and acting as a van monitor. This role honed my ability to multitask, assist with diverse educational needs, and contribute positively to the school community.
These experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set in childcare and early education, reinforcing my commitment to nurturing and educating young minds.
