Hi!

My name is Sophie Day and I grew up in Greenwich Village. Im 27 years old and an older sister. I babysat growing up in my apartment building and have always loved working with kids. I went to California Institute of the Arts and was an after school art teacher at the nearby elementary school. We did organized play time, lessons on different art practices, and then guided creative activities. I am a working photographer, videographer, and make short form documentary films. Ive been missing working with kids and am looking to be a long term babysitter for the right family.

I value safety, respect, and play. Its very important to me that the kids I work with feel comfortable and safe with me as much as they have fun with me! I remember how meaningful the long term babysitters I had in my life were to me and I want to give the kids I work with the same valuable experiences.

Im happy doing art lessons at home, cooking dinner, picking kids up from school, going to the park or museum, supervising play dates, and helping with homework. I am flexible and will be a devoted support to the right family! Please reach out with any questions. Thank you!
