This truth explains the purpose of The Berry Patch, for every child is a distinct person and a valuable asset. Psychologists are unanimous in stressing the importance of early years. They say the first five years of life are the critical phase of child development.
Ideally, a child would be reared in home surroundings, but this is not always possible. The alternative is to provide an extension of the home where in an atmosphere of love and concern the child is assisted to grow and develop into the person he/she is born to be.
