Village Lutheran Church Preschool

We strive for the development of skills that include listening, following directions, and problem solving. The children learn to integrate into a group setting and, also, work independently. “Free Choice” is a time children can choose an activity and work to accomplish a goal. By often taking care of their own needs, they develop a positive self-image.
Many activities center on fine and gross motor. Language is advanced through multiple forms of self-expression. All classes have opportunities to discover, explore, and be challenged through open-ended activities. There are self-directed choices such as sorting, classifying, patterning, telling stories, and generally, learning by “doing”. During JESUS TIME the children are taught to better understand God’s Word and His world through songs and stories.
